Razer Launches $130 Laptop Sleeve Featuring Dual Wireless Charging Pads
Razer has unveiled a new laptop sleeve designed not only to protect devices but also to provide wireless charging capabilities. The accessory, tailored for 16-inch laptops, incorporates two integrated wireless charging pads compliant with the Qi2 standard.
Innovative Charging Features in a Protective Sleeve
Unlike traditional laptop sleeves, this model features two separate charging surfaces built into the flap. One charging pad is optimized for smartphones, supporting wireless power delivery up to 15 watts. This higher wattage aims to offer faster charging for compatible mobile devices.
The second pad targets smaller accessories such as earbuds or other compact gadgets, offering up to 5 watts of charging power. This dual-pad configuration allows users to charge multiple devices simultaneously, enhancing convenience especially for those regularly carrying several wireless accessories.
The inclusion of these two Qi2-standard wireless chargers sets this sleeve apart in the laptop accessory market, where wireless charging is typically limited to standalone chargers or docks. Razer’s approach integrates the functionality directly into a protective case, merging device safety and charging capability in a single product.
The laptop sleeve is priced at $130, which reflects the added value and technology embedded in its design. No additional pricing tiers or release dates have been disclosed, nor have further detailed specifications been provided regarding compatibility or battery capacity.
This accessory may appeal to consumers who prioritize minimalism and multifunctional gear, enabling them to keep their laptops protected while simultaneously maintaining power for their smartphones and smaller wireless devices on the go.
