Samsung Discontinues Galaxy Z TriFold Across All Markets After Clearing US Inventory
Samsung has officially ceased sales of its three-panel Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone in the United States after selling out its final shipment delivered in April. The company has confirmed the discontinuation of the device on its official product webpage, marking the end of its availability in the US market.
The Galaxy Z TriFold, which debuted less than a year ago, is now no longer for sale not only in the United States but across all global markets. Production of the device had already been halted in South Korea prior to this update, signaling a full withdrawal from commercial distribution.
A Brief Lifecycle for Samsung’s TriFold Design
Released as part of Samsung’s innovative approach to foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z TriFold brought a unique design featuring three folding panels. Despite generating interest for its ambitious form factor, the device’s presence on shelves was relatively short-lived. Its withdrawal from production and sales channels worldwide indicates a strategic shift in Samsung’s foldable device offerings.
The complete sellout of the last US units by mid-April effectively marked the conclusion of the Galaxy Z TriFold’s retail period. While no official statements have detailed the reasons behind the discontinuation or future plans for tri-fold devices, the company’s removal of the model from sales platforms confirms the end of the Galaxy Z TriFold chapter.
Samsung continues to focus on its other foldable lines, maintaining a strong presence in the evolving market for flexible screen smartphones. The discontinuation of the Galaxy Z TriFold may pave the way for future innovations in foldable technology that better align with consumer demand and production feasibility.
Samsung has officially ended sales of the Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone worldwide following the sellout of its last US shipment.
