SpaceX Reaches 50 Orbital Launches in Four Months, Deploys 25 Starlink Satellites with Falcon 9
SpaceX has marked a significant milestone in 2026 by completing its 50th orbital launch since the beginning of the year. On April 26, a Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, delivering 25 Starlink broadband satellites to low Earth orbit.
Scaling Starlink and Launch Cadence
This recent mission continues SpaceX’s rapid deployment of its Starlink satellite constellation, which now totals nearly 10,300 active satellites in orbit. Out of the 50 launches achieved in just over four months, 42 missions were dedicated to expanding the Starlink network, underscoring the company’s aggressive approach to increasing global broadband coverage via satellite.
