SpaceX Conducts First Static Fire Test of New Starship Ahead of 13th Test Flight

SpaceX has recently conducted the first static fire test of the upper stage of its latest Starship vehicle, moving another step closer to the upcoming 13th test flight of the spacecraft.

The test involved firing a single Raptor 3 engine designed for operation within Earth’s atmosphere. For approximately 15 seconds, the engine was ignited while the upper stage of Starship V3 was held securely in place on the ground.
