Intel Quietly Introduces 14-Core Core i7-13645HX Mobile Processor in Raptor Lake Lineup
Intel has expanded its lineup of Raptor Lake mobile processors with the unannounced release of the Core i7-13645HX. This new chip is built using Intel’s 10-nanometer Intel 7 process and joins the ranks of high-performance mobile CPUs aimed at laptops and portable workstations.
New Addition to the Raptor Lake Mobile Family
The Core i7-13645HX features a total of 14 cores, divided into six performance (P) cores and eight efficiency (E) cores. This core configuration matches that of the already available Core i7-13650HX, indicating similar multitasking capabilities with both processors supporting 20 threads.
Both processors also include 24 MB of Smart Cache, facilitating faster access to frequently used data and instructions, which can boost overall system responsiveness. The maximum Turbo Boost frequency for the Core i7-13645HX reaches up to 4.9 GHz, maximizing performance under demanding workloads.
Intel’s Core i7-13645HX continues to leverage the enhancements introduced with the Raptor Lake generation, which is part of Intel’s 13th generation Core family. The use of the Intel 7 process technology indicates improvements in energy efficiency and performance in comparison to previous generations.
The processor’s specifications suggest it targets the mobile segment requiring significant computational power, such as gaming laptops, content creation devices, and professional-grade thin-and-light workstations. However, detailed information about pricing, availability, and specific device integrations has not been disclosed as of now.
This quiet addition displays Intel’s strategy to refine its mobile processor portfolio, offering alternatives with closely related performance metrics to cater to diverse user needs. The Core i7-13645HX’s release complements the existing Raptor Lake HX series for mobile platforms, bolstering competition in a market increasingly demanding high efficient multi-core chips.
Intel expands its 13th-gen Raptor Lake mobile processors with the new 14-core Core i7-13645HX featuring Intel 7 architecture and Turbo Boost up to 4.9 GHz.
