Oppo Launches Magnetic External Display to Enhance Selfies and Group Photos
Chinese tech manufacturer Oppo has unveiled a new accessory aimed at enhancing photography experiences on its smartphones. The device, named Oppo Bubble, is a compact magnetic external display that attaches to the rear panel of compatible Oppo phones.
This accessory is designed to facilitate taking selfies and group photos by providing a remote preview of the image captured with the phone’s primary camera. Traditionally, front-facing cameras are used for selfies; however, the main cameras typically offer superior image quality. Oppo Bubble leverages this advantage by enabling users to monitor and adjust the shot using the high-resolution rear lens.
Broadening Photographic Possibilities with Oppo Bubble
The Oppo Bubble’s small and lightweight form factor makes it an unobtrusive addition to smartphones, while its magnetic mount allows for quick and secure attachment. Once connected, the external display acts as a remote viewfinder, giving users greater control over composition and framing from the front side of the device, even while utilizing the back camera.
By providing a dedicated preview screen on the rear, Oppo aims to streamline group photography and selfies, making it easier to capture well-framed images without relying solely on the smaller front-facing screen. This accessory could be particularly useful in scenarios where having a larger or better-positioned display for previewing shots is beneficial.
Details such as pricing, broader compatibility with Oppo models, and availability outside of China were not disclosed at this time. The introduction of the Oppo Bubble highlights ongoing efforts by smartphone manufacturers to innovate camera functionalities and improve user experience through specialized accessories.
