AMD has introduced FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 4.1 support for Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards, revealing a noticeable improvement in image quality accompanied by a performance impact. Recent testing by Computer Base highlights the trade-offs users face when utilizing this new upscaling technology.
FSR 4.1 Enhances Visuals at a Performance Cost
FSR 4.1 is the latest iteration of AMD’s spatial upscaling technology designed to improve visual fidelity while boosting frame rates in demanding games. According to an extensive evaluation conducted on Radeon RX 7000 GPUs, the upgrade to FSR 4.1 delivers a marked improvement in rendered image sharpness and overall picture quality compared to its predecessor, FSR 3.1.
