Atlas V Rocket Launches 29 Amazon Kuiper Internet Satellites, Expanding Constellation to 270
United Launch Alliance (ULA), the aerospace joint venture between Boeing and Lockheed Martin, successfully launched an Atlas V rocket carrying 29 internet satellites for Amazon’s Kuiper constellation. The mission lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Launch Complex, marking the sixth Atlas V launch dedicated to deploying Kuiper satellites.
Expanding the Kuiper Satellite Network
The newly deployed satellites join the growing fleet of Amazon’s internet constellation, bringing the total number of Kuiper spacecraft in orbit to approximately 270. This constellation is part of Amazon’s broader initiative to provide global broadband internet connectivity from space, targeting underserved areas around the world.
