Figure AI has reached a new milestone in humanoid robotics by demonstrating its robots performing continuous autonomous parcel sorting for more than 24 hours straight. Initially, the company planned an eight-hour test, but the experiment extended into a full day of uninterrupted operation.
The trial involved three humanoid robots tasked with sorting small packages without human intervention. Over the course of the test, the robots maintained autonomous functionality and worked around the clock.
Extended Autonomous Operation in Logistics
During the demonstration, which was streamed live online, viewers had the opportunity to observe the robots in action in real time and even assigned them nicknames: Bob, Frank, and Gary.
