Xiaomi Regains Top Position in Global Wearable Electronics Market in 2025
Chinese electronics manufacturer Xiaomi has retaken the leading position in the global wearable electronics market for the year 2025, according to research data released by market analysis firm Omdia.
Xiaomi Tops Global Wearables Market in 2025
Data from the study show that Xiaomi accounted for 18% of the worldwide wearable devices market, reclaiming the top spot it had previously held. The company’s diverse product lineup, which includes smartwatches and fitness trackers, contributed to its resurgence in market share.
Trailing closely behind Xiaomi, Apple secured 17% of the market share, maintaining a strong position but narrowly finishing second. Huawei followed in third place with a 16% share, underscoring its continued growth and presence in the wearable technology segment.
The market leader race was further complemented by Samsung and Garmin, ranking fourth and fifth respectively. Samsung held 9% of the global wearables market, while Garmin maintained a 5% share, highlighting the competitiveness among leading brands in this space.
The wearable electronics market, encompassing devices such as smartwatches, fitness bands, and other health monitoring gadgets, has seen rapid expansion due to increasing consumer interest in health, fitness, and connectivity features.
Xiaomi’s success in recapturing the lead illustrates the company’s effective strategies in product innovation and competitive pricing, enabling it to appeal to a broad international audience. Meanwhile, the close margins among the top contenders reflect the dynamic nature of the wearable technology sector and fierce competition among established tech giants.
