iRU Unveils Rock G2212IG6 Server Tailored for AI and HPC Workloads
iRU has introduced its new Rock G2212IG6 server, positioned as a solution for artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), and other compute-intensive applications. The design leverages the latest Intel Xeon 6 platform to deliver a versatile foundation capable of handling demanding workloads across enterprise and research environments.
At the core of the Rock G2212IG6 is a modern Intel Xeon 6 CPU platform, which brings support for PCI Express 5.0—a critical feature for accelerating data throughput and improving performance with next-generation expansion cards. This server offers numerous PCIe lanes, allowing ample bandwidth for high-speed peripherals and accelerators.
Flexible Expansion and Storage Capacity
The Rock G2212IG6 is engineered to accommodate two dual-slot accelerators, making it suitable for AI inference and training tasks, as well as other HPC workloads that require considerable parallel processing power. Additionally, there are provisions for two OCP (Open Compute Project) adapters, enhancing network connectivity options and adaptability for cloud and data center deployments.
Storage capabilities include a chassis designed to hold up to 12 drives, providing substantial capacity to manage large datasets and support demanding I/O operations. The ample storage complements the server’s computational resources, ensuring that data-intensive applications have sufficient room and speed to operate efficiently.
Power delivery and cooling systems in the Rock G2212IG6 are scaled to support the components’ high energy demands, which is essential in maintaining performance stability under heavy computational loads. This attention to thermal management and power efficiency is integral for maintaining reliability in AI and HPC environments.
By combining scalable PCIe 5.0 support, significant storage options, and robust power and cooling solutions within a single unit, the iRU Rock G2212IG6 is positioned as a relevant server choice for workloads that require intensive processing capabilities. Although specific pricing and availability details have not been disclosed, this server reflects industry trends toward systems optimized for evolving AI and HPC demands.
iRU launches the Rock G2212IG6 server, designed for AI and HPC, featuring Intel Xeon 6 platform with PCIe 5.0 support and extensive expansion options.
