NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope Fully Fueled Ahead of August Launch
NASA has successfully completed fueling the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, the agency’s next-generation orbital observatory. The fueling process involved loading approximately 1,000 liters of hydrazine propellant into the spacecraft’s tanks, marking a significant milestone as the mission approaches its scheduled launch date.
The Roman Space Telescope is set to lift off no earlier than 7:26 a.m. Eastern Time on August 30, 2026. It will be carried into space aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket from Launch Complex 39A, a historic site located at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
