Nvidia Unveils 88-Core Vera CPUs Targeting Server and AI Workloads
At the recent GTC 2026 conference, Nvidia announced its new line of server processors under the name Vera, featuring an impressive 88 computing cores. These CPUs are designed to enhance performance not only in artificial intelligence applications but also across a range of server workloads.
Nvidia’s Vera CPU and Vera CPU Rack System
The Vera processors incorporate new Olympus cores that contribute to a notable boost in processing capabilities. While specific architectural details remain limited, Nvidia emphasized the significant improvement in raw CPU performance enabled by these advancements.
Alongside these high-core-count CPUs, Nvidia revealed the Vera CPU Rack, a rack-based system housing 256 Vera CPUs.
