NASA Upgrades Cold Atom Lab on ISS to Advance Quantum Research
NASA has completed an upgrade to the Cold Atom Lab (CAL) on the International Space Station (ISS), reviving ongoing quantum physics experiments that leverage the unique environment of microgravity. This specialized laboratory is the only orbital facility dedicated to studying ultracold atoms, enabling scientific investigations that are not feasible on Earth.
Enhancing Quantum Experiments in Space
